With a background in painting, ceramics, and eco-printing, Alan's work weaves together playful personal narrative with inquiries into local ecology. Through abstraction and markmaking, he creates a visual language that reflects both a sense of less and renewal in natural environments. His current series, I Saw the Heron, explores the disintegration of local landscapes and the fragile beauty that remains.
